Jakarta– Undiksha’s Faculty of Education (FIP) has again achieved success in the 2022 World Science, Environment and Engineering Competition (WSEEC), organized by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA), on 17 – 20 July 2022. The team consists of Putu Wulan Libriani from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), Putu Vijanitha Datha from the Accounting Study Program, Made Viveka Kumari Datha from the English Language Education Study Program, Ni Putu Ayu Yuli Sumadianti from the Accounting Study Program, I Putu Tesa Putrawan from the Pure Chemistry Study Program, and Andika Pratama from the Accounting Study Program English Language Education, won a Gold Medal in the Environment category and the Doza Srekja Macedonia Special Award, as well as a Silver Medal in the Social Science and Special Award categories.
On this occasion, Wulan Libriani joined two categories with works entitled KAKI KITA FOUNDATION: Implementing Green Economy Through Integrated Plastic Waste Management To Reduce Environmental Pollution And Ecological Scarcity, for the Environment category, and Improving Equality Through Empowerment Of People With Disabilities As Workers Of The Kaki Kita Foundation In Creating A Disability-Friendly Creative Industry for the Social Science category. It was explained that the innovation work initiated was in line with the application of the concept hit karana (THK). “We are raising a product of 1,000 glasses for people with disabilities made from plastic waste, we are doing this to protect the natural environment and as an alternative in dealing with environmental pollution,” she explained.
It was also said that this achievement would be a big asset to take part in various competitions in the international arena in the future. Supporting this, the party continues to innovate and improve its quality, so that it can boost more achievements for FIP Undiksha. “We are proud to be able to represent the Faculty and University in this international arena. “Our future target is to hopefully be able to take part in similar competitions abroad, with the hope of getting as many medals as possible,” she hoped
This score received full appreciation from the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Gading, M.Psi., according to him, this is extraordinary, to support the upcoming Simkatmawa Faculty ranking. He further assessed that this achievement was very important to increase the competitiveness of the faculty both at the national and international levels. “This achievement is very encouraging, we from the leadership give our appreciation to the students and supervisors for their success in achieving this achievement,” he said. The same thing was also expressed by the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., who said that FIP ??Undiksha continues to strive to improve international achievements. The steps taken are to maximize coaching and map student potential. “We always facilitate students as a step to maximize FIP Undiksha’s achievements in various competitions,” he concluded.
