Singaraja – Faculty of Education (FIP) Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) proudly received a visit from the Open Flow Learning Center and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), which took place in the Undiksha FIP Study Program Meeting Room on Tuesday (12/09/2023).
The delegation from the Open Flow Learning Center and SUSS, consisting of the Office of Global Programs Experiential Learning College for Interdisciplinary and Experiential Learning, Barbara Eu, Vice Dean and Head Master of Early Childhood Education Program, Prof. Sirene Lim, Director of Open Flow Learning Center, Peter Thomas Sudiyasa Phillip; and Communication and Community Lead, Open Flow Learning Center, Ni Putu Giyan Adnya Antari, S.Pd., M.Sc., were welcomed directly by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., who was accompanied by Deputy Dean II Dr. Komang Sudarma, S.Pd., M.Pd., Deputy Dean III Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., and attended by the Head of the Basic Education Department, Dr. I Gede Astawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the PGSD Study Program Dr. Putu Nanci Riastini, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Chair of the PGPAUD Study Program Dewa Gede Fristia Wirabrata, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychology, and Chair of the Collaboration Group, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D.
Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., welcomed the visit of the team from SUSS to FIP Undiksha. He also emphasized that FIP ??Undiksha is always open to building collaboration and cooperation with other universities, both at home and abroad, in order to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The team from the Open Flow Learning Center and SUSS gave the impression that Bali is a tourist destination that has a unique and well-known culture. Therefore, in discussions between the two parties, they plan to organize short programs such as Field Work Practices (PKL) and share cultural experiences together, as well as establish cooperation in the coming years, around June to December.
Chair of the FIP Collaboration Group, Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., said in an interview that this activity provides support for Internationalization at home in the campus environment which has been planned since 2018. This opens up opportunities for FIP students to get involved in the international community.
“The profile of FIP Undiksha graduates is indeed directed towards the teaching profession, but through this collaboration, opportunities to teach are not only at the national level but also at the international level. “It is proven that several alumni from PGPAUD FIP Undiksha are now working at the Open Flow Learning Center,” he concluded.
