Karangasem– Education has a very important role in the progress of the Indonesian nation, as stated in the national education system of the Republic of Indonesia. Education itself is expected to be able to form noble character and personality, to create superior and competitive human resources (HR). Supporting this, the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) of the Basic Education Department Student Association (HMJ Pendas) of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha held an outreach regarding the importance of education centered at SDN 6 and SDN 8 (Main and Affiliate) Tianyar Village, Karangasem which will last for 3 days on 16, 18 and 19 July 2022.
Confirming this, team leader Made Nirmala Karunika Sari from the PGSD Study Program said that this activity was motivated by a lack of public awareness of the importance of education, especially the mindset that considers studying to be a waste of money, which is still a scourge among ordinary people, especially in Tianyar Village. This has resulted in quite a few students studying up to the elementary school level. Based on this problem, Nirmala and her team initiated this work program, as an effort to increase learning motivation. He hopes that through this activity, students and the community can be motivated to achieve their goals.
“We see that there are still many students who are only in elementary school. “We hope they can receive the information and use it as motivation so that people become knowledgeable about science,” she said. (hms Dewa Nida)
