Dewa Ayu Puteri Handayani, S.Psi., M.Sc started her career as a lecturer at Undiksha in March 2019. Puteri teaches at the PG PAUD Study Program, FIP Undiksha. Even though he is relatively new as a lecturer who has studied for a master’s degree at Leiden University, in the Netherlands, he is very active in participating in programs organized by Undiksha. One of them is the Undiksha sharing program where in batch 1, Puteri was present as a resource person by discussing a topic that was very relevant to current conditions, namely “Social Dilemma Facing the Covid-19 Pandemic”.
According to him, this program is very good because it provides an opportunity for us to contribute to sharing knowledge with society, especially as this is our duty as a higher education institution. Regarding the topic he chose, it was motivated by relevant conditions and by the field of psychology he is working in, “I want to share a topic related to the Covid-19 pandemic because at that time it was very relevant to our condition. Well, coincidentally my field is social psychology. I want to share something about how my knowledge contributes to responding to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. “And coincidentally, in social psychology, there is a lot of discussion about the social impact of this pandemic on society, which is indeed viewed from social psychology, one of which is this social dilemma,” she said.
Apart from that, the magazine/newspaper writer with the article entitled “Maximizing Left and Right Brain Functions with Exercise” conveyed an interesting thing that he felt when he was a source, namely that he had to race against time. It is a challenge for him to deliver material and answer audience questions within the time determined by the committee. Even though the start time was late due to a technical error which it was feared could make participants think the activity was cancelled. However, fortunately, many participants joined. Most of these participants consisted of the general public who studied psychology.
These LPDP scholarship recipient alumni will continue to participate in Undiksha sharing, which will continue in batch 3. At the end of the interview, Puteri also hopes that this activity, which can be reached by everyone wherever they are, will continue consistently so that Undiksha can be known by the public not only in Bali but Indonesia and abroad.
