Singaraja – Undiksha Faculty of Education (FIP) through the Undiksha Faculty of Education Student Executive Board (BEM FIP) held a series of PMM activities (Faculty Introduction, Student Friendship and Harmony Period, and Family Evening). The event which lasted for three days, namely on 18 & 19 August, and 3 September 2023, took place in the sparkling Auditorium of the Ganesha University of Education. The aim of PMM is clear from its name – to introduce the Faculty of Education to new FIP Undiksha students through Faculty Introduction, Student Friendship and Harmony Period, and Family Evening. They can understand the lecture system at FIP, with exposure to material from selected speakers, both teaching lecturers and dean leaders.
Yudhi, who is familiarly known as the Chair of the Committee, explained, “Apart from that, we also introduced the Functionaries from BEM FIP Undiksha to new FIP students. This is a step to build closeness and familiarity from the start.”
The presence of 603 new students and 107 committee members marked the excitement of this event. A prominent difference from previous years is the opportunity for new students to be involved in the FIP-61 anniversary celebration. They have shown enthusiasm by being part of the contingent for competitions that will take place, including the Arts Degree Night which is scheduled for September 16, 2023.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., shared several important things with new students. One of them is the success of many outstanding FIP students, who continue to receive recognition through the Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs. Prof. Widiana also emphasized financial support for competing students, which is an allowance when taking part in competitions.
“Students’ interests and talents must be honed through competitions and contests. “This is an opportunity to prove that you are part of an outstanding community,” he said.
Prof. Widiana also expressed her commitment to encouraging academic achievement and talent in the Faculty of Education. “We will continue to maintain the achievements that have become a tradition at FIP, and we will continue to provide facilities for developing the interests and talents of the Faculty of Education academic community,” he concluded.
