Singaraja –The Undiksha Chancellor’s rotating trophy was again up for grabs, SD Cipta Dharma Denpasar managed to beat SD Saraswati 5 Denpasar. After winning 3 times in a row in the Five Subjects Competition, SD Saraswati 5 Denpasar was defeated in the XVII Five Subjects Competition.
The Five Subject XVII Competition is one of a series of activities in the Eductions Event organized by the Basic Education Department Student Association, FIP Undiksha. Eductions is an activity that consists of several HMJ Pendas FIP Undiksha Featured Work Programs. There are a series of activities, namely the XVII Five Subject Competition, Gema National Essay Competition, Microteaching, and Educational Seminars. After passing the final round in the Gema National Essay and Microteaching Competition, as well as the semifinal and final rounds in the XVII Five Subject Competition, Eductions was officially closed by the Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Education.
This activity, which was organized by the Basic Education Department Student Association of FIP Undiksha, received appreciation from all leaders at the institution, faculty, and the Regional Education Office. The closing of Eductions was officially closed on Thursday (9/11/2023) by the Chancellor of Undiksha who on that occasion was represented by the Dean of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., who was accompanied by the Deputy Dean of the FIP Undiksha Environment, Chair of the Simkatmawa Cluster, Department Leaders, Study Program Leaders, HMJ Pendas Student Affairs Supervisor, Teaching Lecturer in the Basic Education Environment. The closing of the Eductions which was held in the Undiksha Auditorium was attended directly by the Buleleng Regency Education Office.
In his speech, Prof. Widiana appreciated the committee for organizing this activity very well and successfully. “I hope that the competition participants who have not had the opportunity to win this year will not be discouraged and try again next year,” he said.
On the same occasion, Prof. Widiana conveyed the permanent program of the Faculty of Education, that there is a departure program to Australia every month for all students, especially for those who excel, he concluded.
In the interview conducted, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation to HMJ Pendas for being very consistent in holding the Five Subject Competition until the 17th year, as well as the Gema National Essay Competition and National Seminar.
“Students must be accustomed to taking part in competitions like this, so that they can develop a spirit of competition, can implement problem-solving in everyday life that cannot be found if they just stay in the classroom,” he stressed.
