Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) has held an inauguration ceremony that appointed a number of new officials, which was attended by the university leadership on the morning of September 5, 2023. The Undiksha Auditorium witnessed this historic moment, with a number of leaders from the Rectorate, Faculty, and Postgraduate Program attending present. The Faculty of Education (FIP) was also represented by Deputy Deans, namely Prof. Dr. Kadek Suranata, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Academic Affairs), Dr. I Komang Sudarma, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Finance and General Affairs), and Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Student and Alumni Affairs).
In this meaningful moment, a number of selected figures were officially inaugurated, including the Head of the Department of Education, Psychology and Guidance (IPPB) FIP Undiksha, Dr. I Gde Wawan Sudata, S.T., S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Basic Education Department (Pendas) FIP Undiksha, Dr. I Gede Astawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Head of the FIP Undiksha Laboratory, I Nyoman Laba Jayanta, S.Pd., M.Pd. Apart from that, there was also the Secretary of the Basic Education Department (Pendas) FIP Undiksha, Dr. I Gede Margunyasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., Secretary of the Department of Education, Psychology and Guidance (IPPB), Dr. Luh Putu Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Secretary of the Masters and Doctoral Study Program in Educational Technology, Dr. I Gde Wawan Sudatha, S.Pd., S.T., M.Pd., as well as a number of Study Program Coordinators within FIP Undiksha.
This series of inaugurations is an important milestone in Undiksha’s change towards Legal Entity State University (PTN BH) status. In his speech, Prof. Lasmawan emphasized Undiksha’s determination to become PTN BH, which requires unlimited contributions from the entire academic community. He encouraged these new officials to immediately initiate changes so that the institution’s performance could accelerate well, in line with the big vision they carry.
A similar opinion was also expressed by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, FIP Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Kadek Suranata, S.Pd., M.Pd., Kons. In an interview with Public Relations of FIP Undiksha, Prof. Suranata stated that today’s inauguration was the beginning of the journey towards a superior Undiksha, and in fact, a superior FIP within it. He emphasized the importance of cooperation, harmony, and openness between all elements in the Faculty of Education for the progress of Undiksha. “What is always the priority is not personal interests, but the progress of the Faculty of Education for the sake of Undiksha’s progress,” he concluded.
This inauguration ceremony is not only a formality but also a symbol of Undiksha’s enthusiasm and determination to continue to develop and become a university that excels nationally and internationally. All eyes are now on how the newly appointed officials will help make that vision a reality.
