Singaraja – The Faculty of Education (FIP) Undiksha held an online performance evaluation of the 2022 Innovation Group on Wednesday (12/14/2022). The activity was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. I Made Tegeh, S.Pd., M.Pd., Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, S.Pd., M.Pd., and the Study Program Coordinator of the Elementary School Teacher Education, Dr. I Gede Margunayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd.
In his remarks, Vice Dean Tegeh who represented the Dean appreciated the performance of the Innovation Group. He said that various innovative works have been successfully presented in order to improve the quality of higher education.
“This group has been able to make a huge contribution to the progress of the Faculty of Education, especially related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), the development of Book Chapters, and even some have passed abroad and patent training,” he said.
Furthermore, the Vice Dean from Panji Village, Buleleng hopes that in the coming year the Innovation Group can increase the achievements of the work program that has been set, both in terms of quality and quantity. Moreover, in the future, this group will be able to initiate an exhibition of innovative works by lecturers and students. For this reason, it is said that the leaders always supports it by providing coaching, as well as mentoring.
“In 2023, it must be even more creative, for example, improving the performance of programs that are already running, then participating more intensively in competitions initiated by other ministries and universities,” continued Tegeh.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Innovation Group, Dr. I Kadek Suartama, S.Pd., M.Pd., explained a number of programs that were successfully achieved for 1 year. He said that 5 work programs designed in 2022 was carried out with a percentage of 90%. However, it is necessary to reflect it as an effort to optimize next year’s work programs.
“All programs were carried out, but there are some important notes, such as the uneven distribution of IPR throughout the study program, and the International Book Chapter seems to be improved again,” he said. For information, 1 Chapter of Lecturer was successfully published in the International Book Chapter, then as many as 27 Lecturer Chapters were published in the National Book Chapter, with details of 11 chapters of volume I and 16 chapters of volume II. Interestingly, FIP Undiksha lecturers received Simple Patent awards, including the Formulation and Combination of Clove Oil with Balinese Medicinal Plant Roots which was the result of CPPBT derivative products in 2020.
Next, lecturers received assistance with patent application registration fees and substantive examinations at the training for writing descriptions of patent applications batch – I batch VII of fiscal year 2022 with the title Diodoran Eugenolate (Antifungal) Formulation. (PR Dewa Nida)
